Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the assigned college with a clear vision and strategic direction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise academic standards and student outcomes.
  • Provide line management for key subject areas and support staff development.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive the school’s strategic goals.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including the community, parents, and local partners.
  • Ensure the school’s core values are embedded in all aspects of leadership and practice.
  • Support the Principal in maintaining a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance across the college to ensure consistent progress and success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A track record of raising standards and improving student outcomes.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation within an educational institution.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust (MAT) environment.
  • Familiarity with the latest educational trends and best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Leadership in extracurricular or pastoral programs.
  • Experience in leading school improvement initiatives or large-scale projects.
