The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Resident Tutor - Sports Strength and Conditioning to join our team and support students in developing their physical and athletic abilities. This role offers a unique blend of coaching and administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of students.
- Deliver high-quality coaching sessions to support athletic development and performance.
- Assist with the planning and execution of sports events and functions throughout the academic year.
- Support the administration of sports-related activities and programs.
- Work closely with students, staff, and other coaches to promote a culture of health and fitness.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students in both academic and sporting contexts.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and program outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in sports science, strength and conditioning, or a related field.
- Experience in coaching or working with young people in a school or sports environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and days, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred
- Experience in strength and conditioning or athletic training.
- Familiarity with school systems and administration.
- Knowledge of sports performance and injury prevention techniques.
- Experience working in a boarding school or similar educational setting.
