The Opportunity:
As a Sports Graduate Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the sporting development of students aged 13 to 18. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the sporting development and wellbeing of students in the boarding environment.
- Work closely with the Head of House and other members of the Boarding House team.
- Promote and uphold the school’s Boarding Principles and core values.
- Organize and facilitate sports-related activities and events.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students in a supportive and inclusive setting.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and engaging community atmosphere.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of sports programs aligned with the school’s educational goals.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A current undergraduate or postgraduate student, or recent graduate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of Responsibility, Kindness, Perseverance, Open-mindedness, and Moral Courage.
- Experience working with young people in an educational or sporting environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in sports coaching or leadership roles.
- Knowledge of youth development and pastoral care.
- Familiarity with co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in a boarding or residential environment.
