The Opportunity:

As a Sports Graduate Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the sporting development of students aged 13 to 18. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the sporting development and wellbeing of students in the boarding environment.
  • Work closely with the Head of House and other members of the Boarding House team.
  • Promote and uphold the school’s Boarding Principles and core values.
  • Organize and facilitate sports-related activities and events.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to students in a supportive and inclusive setting.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and engaging community atmosphere.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of sports programs aligned with the school’s educational goals.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A current undergraduate or postgraduate student, or recent graduate.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of Responsibility, Kindness, Perseverance, Open-mindedness, and Moral Courage.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational or sporting environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in sports coaching or leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of youth development and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in a boarding or residential environment.
