The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Restorative Centre Manager (Maternity Cover) to lead our Restorative Centre and support students at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. This role is ideal for someone passionate about restorative practice, inclusion, and helping young people overcome social, emotional, and behavioural barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and support students within the Restorative Centre to enable successful reintegration into their normal timetable.
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions, assess progress, and provide clear feedback to staff, students, and parents.
  • Use restorative behaviour strategies to promote positive choices, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Design and prepare differentiated resources and SEMH programmes for 1:1 and small-group work.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student development.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support student reintegration and ongoing progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and report regularly on student outcomes and centre performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in restorative practice and working with students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality support and interventions in an educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience with restorative justice programmes.
  • Knowledge of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) support strategies.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting with a focus on inclusion and pastoral care.
  • Experience in working with young people at risk of disengagement.
