As an Attendance Officer, you will play a vital role in improving student attendance across all key stages. You will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure accurate data management and provide support where needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor student attendance data across all key stages
  • Work with students, parents, and colleagues to identify and support attendance issues
  • Provide timely interventions to improve attendance and engagement
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records and reports
  • Collaborate with the pastoral team to develop and implement attendance improvement strategies
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support student attendance
  • Support the school’s mission to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed
  • Attend relevant training and meetings to ensure best practices in attendance management

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and data management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to improving student attendance and supporting student welfare
  • Understanding of attendance policies and procedures in schools

Preferred

  • Experience working with students and families in a pastoral role
  • Knowledge of educational software and data systems
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
  • Experience with student support and intervention strategies
