As a Rowing Coach, you will play a key role in developing student athletes and supporting a successful rowing programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and mentor students in rowing techniques, safety, and performance.
- Plan and deliver training sessions that align with the school's sporting and academic calendar.
- Support the school's rowing programme in competitions, regattas, and head races throughout the year.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students during training and events.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to support the school's co-curricular and sporting goals.
- Maintain and update training records and student progress.
- Assist in the organisation and management of rowing fixtures and events.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to students of all skill levels.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 Club Coach qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in coaching rowing at a competitive level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and school holidays.
- Commitment to the safety and welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching young athletes or working in a school environment.
- Knowledge of competitive rowing and event organisation.
- Experience with a co-educational or boarding school setting.
- Understanding of the importance of pastoral care and student development.
