The Opportunity:

As a School Business Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the school’s financial and human resources strategy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Finance and HR teams to ensure smooth operations and strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to support IT and Premises functions.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve resource utilization and explore new income streams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and the wider community.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision as a key member of the Leadership Group.
  • Work independently and proactively to meet the school’s evolving needs.
  • Support the Head Teacher in achieving the school’s long-term goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in school business management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent financial and HR management expertise.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on school development and growth.
  • Experience in budget planning, resource allocation, and financial reporting.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing community and business partnerships.
  • Familiarity with education sector best practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of school operations, including IT and premises management.
  • Experience in supporting school leadership and strategic planning.
