The Opportunity:

As a School Counsellor Lower School, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' emotional, social, and academic well-being. You will work closely with students, parents, and teachers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling to students to support their emotional and social development
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement strategies for student support
• Monitor and assess student progress and well-being on an ongoing basis
• Deliver workshops and programmes to promote mental health and resilience among students
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and interventions
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and pastoral care policies and procedures
• Support the school's commitment to holistic education through active involvement in student life

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• BACP registered or accredited counsellor
• Demonstrated experience in providing pastoral care and support to young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

Preferred

• Experience working in an international school setting
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Familiarity with High Performance Learning philosophy
• Experience with leadership and personal development programmes
