The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the school farm, ensuring it is a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver practical, hands-on lessons in agriculture and land-based studies to students.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate farm activities into the curriculum.
- Develop and implement sustainable farming practices that support educational goals.
- Support students in developing practical skills, knowledge, and a love for the natural world.
- Maintain accurate records of farm activities, student progress, and equipment usage.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on the farm.
- Participate in school events and contribute to the wider educational community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a school or educational setting, particularly in a farm or land-based role.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and crop management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to student welfare and educational development.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Knowledge of teaching methods and student engagement strategies.
- Experience with outdoor education or experiential learning.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
