Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across relevant key stages.
  • Inspire curiosity and a love of learning in students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and pedagogy.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.

  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge.
  • Experience of teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and/or 4.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
  • Familiarity with Science education and current pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience of working with diverse student groups.
