The Opportunity:

As a Chemistry Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department by ensuring chemical safety and providing specialist assistance in practical lessons. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee chemical safety, including routine checks, proper storage, and troubleshooting of practical experiments.
  • Provide specialist support to students and staff during chemistry lessons and laboratory sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with science teachers to prepare and manage laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of practical science activities.
  • Support the delivery of science curriculum through hands-on and engaging experiments.
  • Ensure a safe and well-organized laboratory environment at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience as a laboratory technician within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of science procedures and chemical safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive approach and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school environment with a focus on science education.
  • Knowledge of practical science teaching and curriculum delivery.
  • Experience with chemical safety management and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
