Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments, ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for use.
• Provide technical support and assistance to teachers during lessons.
• Maintain the school's science lab and stock area, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and organisation.
• Keep accurate records of equipment and materials, managing their storage and disposal as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Science and other staff members.
• Promote the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all pupils in your care.
• Comply with all safeguarding, behaviour, and discipline policies.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A Levels or equivalent
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent)
• Experience of working with children

Preferred

• Science qualification(s)
• Experience of teaching or supporting the teaching of science within the primary age range
• Ability to impart enthusiasm for science to young children
