The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and collaborative team as a Science Teacher on a fixed-term contract, starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and attainment.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-structured Science curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Support the school’s values of manners, hard work, and honesty in all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Participate in professional development and reflective practice to enhance teaching methods.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives where possible.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that drive student progress.
- Strong knowledge of Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of manners, hard work, and honesty.
Preferred
- Experience in driving student attainment and progress in Science.
- Familiarity with flexible working arrangements and PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) support.
- Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Previous experience in a school rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary within the MPR/UPR pay scale (£32,916 - £51,048).
