The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and collaborative team as a Science Teacher on a fixed-term contract, starting in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development in a supportive and high-achieving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and attainment.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-structured Science curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
  • Support the school’s values of manners, hard work, and honesty in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in professional development and reflective practice to enhance teaching methods.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM initiatives where possible.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that drive student progress.
  • Strong knowledge of Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of manners, hard work, and honesty.

Preferred

  • Experience in driving student attainment and progress in Science.
  • Familiarity with flexible working arrangements and PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) support.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Previous experience in a school rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
