Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that promote deep understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a curriculum aligned with the latest pedagogical practices.
- Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback strategies.
- Work with the Head of Department to drive the development of the Geography team and departmental goals.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote student achievement and well-being.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Contribute to the overall growth and success of the school and Trust.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Geography at the appropriate level.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the Trust.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
