Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that promote deep understanding and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a curriculum aligned with the latest pedagogical practices.
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback strategies.
  • Work with the Head of Department to drive the development of the Geography team and departmental goals.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote student achievement and well-being.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the school and Trust.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at the appropriate level.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the Trust.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
