Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using school systems and data to inform teaching strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on student performance and development.
  • Take responsibility for the academic progress and well-being of a class of students.
  • Support the organization and delivery of school events, extra-curricular activities, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues as part of a curriculum action group to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Uphold the school's values, attitudes, and standards in all aspects of teaching and behavior.
  • Run weekly extra-curricular activities to enrich student experiences and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
