The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic and successful department. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development across KS3 to KS5. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, engaging science education that inspires future scientists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity by adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s wider curriculum.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay current with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS.
- Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to the school’s values of inclusivity and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience in a high-performing school or academy setting.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with the latest teaching technologies and resources.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
