The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic and successful department. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, engaging science education that inspires future scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum.
• Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity by adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities and contribute to the school’s wider curriculum.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.
• Stay current with developments in science education and incorporate innovative teaching techniques into lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant science degree and QTS.
• Proven experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to the school’s values of inclusivity and academic excellence.

Preferred

• Experience in a high-performing school or academy setting.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
• Familiarity with the latest teaching technologies and resources.
• Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
