The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs across the curriculum. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and hardworking department, making a real difference in students' learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual students, small groups, and whole classes across the curriculum.
  • Work closely with teachers to provide tailored learning support.
  • Assist in planning and delivering learning activities in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support the emotional and social development of students.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student needs.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education or a related field.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with educational software and tools.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on points 6 to 8.
  • Term-time only working pattern (39 weeks per year).
  • 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
