Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Theology and Philosophy at both Key Stage 4 and 6.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and independent learning among students.
• Develop and implement a broad and balanced curriculum that meets academic standards.
• Support students in preparing for A-level and IB examinations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental teaching and learning strategies.
• Participate in co-curricular activities and contribute to the pastoral care of students.
• Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
• Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., Theology, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or related field).
• Ability to teach Sixth Form content, including A-level and IB syllabi.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for inspiring and engaging students in philosophical and theological inquiry.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

• Previous teaching experience, particularly in independent or selective schools.
• Experience with A-level or IB curriculum delivery.
• Interest in co-curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
