The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. You will play a key role in fostering curiosity and academic excellence, while contributing to curriculum development and promoting the school’s values of community, kindness, aspiration, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Plan and sequence lessons to support student learning and achievement.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental collaboration.
- Support behaviour for learning and promote a positive classroom environment.
- Participate in enrichment activities and extracurricular programs.
- Promote the school’s values of community, kindness, aspiration, and resilience.
- Engage in Trust-wide professional development and subject networks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Strong knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology curricula.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
- Experience in assessing student progress and providing feedback.
- Commitment to promoting positive behaviour and inclusive learning environments.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Background in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience with enrichment activities and extracurricular programs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
