Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in biology and chemistry for KS3 and KS4 General Science
- Inspire and motivate students through strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
- Support student progress through personalized feedback and assessment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Science Faculty
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
- Engage in professional development and stay up to date with current scientific research and pedagogical practices
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science Teacher with a passion for biology and chemistry
- Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 General Science
- Strong subject knowledge in science with the ability to inspire and engage students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Previous experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
- Demonstrable success in improving student outcomes in science subjects
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and tools
