Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in biology and chemistry for KS3 and KS4 General Science
  • Inspire and motivate students through strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
  • Support student progress through personalized feedback and assessment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Science Faculty
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
  • Engage in professional development and stay up to date with current scientific research and pedagogical practices
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with a passion for biology and chemistry
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 General Science
  • Strong subject knowledge in science with the ability to inspire and engage students
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Previous experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting
  • Demonstrable success in improving student outcomes in science subjects
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and tools
