The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our highly successful department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement and personal development
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student understanding and progress
  • Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and integrate innovative teaching methods
  • Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student wellbeing initiatives
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and resources

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level or the potential to teach across all key stages
  • Commitment to student achievement, personal development and wellbeing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
  • Experience with teaching students from a range of backgrounds
  • Familiarity with using technology in the classroom
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
