The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our highly successful department. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students across all key stages
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement and personal development
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that enhance student understanding and progress
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and integrate innovative teaching methods
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student wellbeing initiatives
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and resources
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level or the potential to teach across all key stages
- Commitment to student achievement, personal development and wellbeing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
- Experience with teaching students from a range of backgrounds
- Familiarity with using technology in the classroom
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation
