The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art & Design Teacher to join our expanding department. This is an opportunity to shape the future of Art and Design education, including the introduction of new courses in KS4. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring students and contributing to a vibrant, supportive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Contribute to the development of new schemes of learning, particularly in Three-dimensional Design.
- Model excellent teaching practice and inspire students of all abilities.
- Participate in the school’s extra-curricular activities and events.
- Engage in a tailored CPD programme to support professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
- Maintain high standards of student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the school’s commitment to the spiritual and educational formation of students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Art and Design at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong personal artistic and practical skills across a range of disciplines.
- Ability to teach Fine Art and Three-dimensional Design at key stages 4 and 5.
- Commitment to inspiring and engaging students of all abilities.
- Experience in contributing to extra-curricular activities.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with NPQs or a commitment to professional development.
- Experience in Catholic education or a similar school environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
