• Develop students’ curiosity, confidence, and competence in science through practical and theoretical approaches.
• Plan and prepare purposeful lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Mark student work according to departmental policies and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in departmental and cross-departmental best practice sharing and professional development.
• Contribute to extra-curricular science activities and support the wider life of the school.
• Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and research new areas of science.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Related subject degree from a recognised university
• Qualified teacher status with a minimum of 1 year’s teaching experience

Preferred

• Master’s or equivalent qualification
• First Aid training
• Experience working in a multicultural setting
• Experience of designing and developing learning resources
