Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Physics or Chemistry to KS4 and A Level students.
- Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Engage in professional development to enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Science-related degree from an established university.
- PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Excellent subject knowledge in Physics or Chemistry (including A Level and practical skills).
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at KS4 and A Level.
- Demonstrated ability to reflect on and develop teaching practice.
- Experience in ITT mentoring or leadership roles.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools.
