Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Physics or Chemistry to KS4 and A Level students.
  • Develop and implement engaging, curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Science-related degree from an established university.
  • PGCE/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Physics or Chemistry (including A Level and practical skills).

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching at KS4 and A Level.
  • Demonstrated ability to reflect on and develop teaching practice.
  • Experience in ITT mentoring or leadership roles.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital teaching tools.
