The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary French Teacher to join our thriving department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, shape curriculum development, and contribute to a school that values excellence, creativity, and cultural inclusivity. The successful candidate will teach across a range of abilities, from GCSE to A-Level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French to students across the full ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, ensuring students meet academic standards and progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance, using data to inform teaching and provide timely interventions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to shape departmental policy and curriculum initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
• Support students in preparing for public examinations and maintain high standards of assessment and reporting.
• Attend parent meetings, open evenings, and other school events as required.
• Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in British Curriculum schools.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level French.
• Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and support student progress.
• Commitment to working as part of a team and contributing to departmental initiatives.
• Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational expectations.

Preferred

• Experience teaching additional languages as an advantage.
• A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and engage students.
• Experience with curriculum innovation and professional development.
• Willingness to take on leadership or mentoring roles within the department.
