The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary French Teacher to join our thriving department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students, shape curriculum development, and contribute to a school that values excellence, creativity, and cultural inclusivity. The successful candidate will teach across a range of abilities, from GCSE to A-Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to students across the full ability range, including GCSE and A-Level.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons, ensuring students meet academic standards and progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance, using data to inform teaching and provide timely interventions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape departmental policy and curriculum initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
- Support students in preparing for public examinations and maintain high standards of assessment and reporting.
- Attend parent meetings, open evenings, and other school events as required.
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in British Curriculum schools.
- Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level French.
- Strong understanding of assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding teaching and support student progress.
- Commitment to working as part of a team and contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Familiarity with the DSIB inspection framework and UAE educational expectations.
Preferred
- Experience teaching additional languages as an advantage.
- A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Experience with curriculum innovation and professional development.
- Willingness to take on leadership or mentoring roles within the department.
