The Opportunity:

Join a supportive and forward-thinking Inclusion team as a Secondary Inclusion Teaching Assistant (Science & Maths), helping students with additional learning needs access the curriculum and reach their full potential across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted in-class and small group support in Science and Mathematics
• Support students with a range of additional learning needs
• Work closely with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to adapt and scaffold learning
• Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
• Support with assessment preparation and coursework where required
• Maintain good order and discipline among students
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant qualifications
• Experience working with students in a secondary school setting (KS3–KS5)
• Strong understanding of Science and/or Mathematics at secondary level
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs (e.g. SEN, EAL)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach
• A genuine commitment to inclusion and student wellbeing

Preferred

• British curriculum school experience
