Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing maths department, ensuring excellent outcomes for all students.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and assessment of the maths curriculum, aligned with school priorities.
  • Support and mentor maths teachers, providing professional development and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to improve school-wide academic performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including parents and external partners, to promote the school’s maths programme.
  • Ensure the department maintains a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the school and support the implementation of key initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes in maths.
  • Expertise in curriculum design and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in maths.
