Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of sixth form students
  • Work closely with students, families, and staff to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Promote and maintain a positive school culture in line with the school’s values and Code of Conduct
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Provide guidance and support to students in a pastoral capacity
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective pastoral care
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the school’s pastoral programme

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with young people in a pastoral or support role
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Commitment to the school’s values and ethos
  • Flexibility and a team player with a positive attitude

Preferred

  • Experience in youth work, public service, or social services
  • Background in education or pastoral care
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and student welfare procedures
  • Experience in a Catholic or Jesuit educational setting
