The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Inclusion Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support students with special educational needs. This role is essential in ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to thrive academically and socially within our inclusive and innovative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement activities to support individual education plan (IEP) targets and structured literacy intervention programmes.
• Provide in-class support to facilitate differentiated learning and ensure successful access to lessons.
• Work alongside teachers and other staff to support pupils, especially those with special educational needs or learning barriers.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the school community.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress and achievement under the guidance of teachers.
• Monitor, maintain, and review records of pupil progress to support future learning planning.
• Maintain the learning environment and develop appropriate resources for students.
• Apply strategies to enhance pupils’ self-esteem, self-confidence, and independence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• GCSE in English or equivalent, with strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Relevant qualification or proof of completed training in education and special educational needs.
• Prior experience in a support role within a school setting.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to staff and student privacy.
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Knowledge of inclusive pedagogies.
• Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
