The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Languages Teacher (Spanish with French), you will play a key role in shaping students' linguistic abilities and cultural awareness. You will teach Spanish across Grades 6–12 and support French instruction in lower secondary, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Spanish across Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and IBDP Spanish.
• Deliver French instruction to lower secondary students (Grades 6–8).
• Design and implement engaging lessons that promote communication, intercultural understanding, and linguistic proficiency.
• Set high expectations and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
• Use effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and guide learning.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including EAL and high-ability students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental resources.
• Foster a positive, respectful learning environment rooted in mutual respect.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and well-being.
• Support the school community through extracurricular and cultural activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Languages with a teaching qualification.
• Valid teaching certification meeting local requirements.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Spanish at the secondary level.
• Experience with High School Diploma, IB Diploma Programme, or A Level Spanish.
• Ability to teach French in lower secondary (Grades 6–8).
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of modern language pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience working in an international or multicultural school environment.
• Experience with IBDP Spanish delivery.
