The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging Individuals and Societies lessons aligned with the IB and Swiss Baccalaureate frameworks.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary learning experiences that enhance student understanding of global issues.
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing meaningful feedback.
• Stay current with educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development, and community initiatives.
• Support the school’s mission of promoting international-mindedness, sustainability, and wellbeing.
• Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities and global learning opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Individuals and Societies at the IB or equivalent level.
• Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to fostering student wellbeing and global citizenship.

Preferred

• Experience working in an international school environment.
• Multilingual abilities (e.g., French, German, or Arabic).
• Familiarity with the Swiss Baccalaureate programme.
• Experience with STEAM education or interdisciplinary teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
