Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England and international qualifications.
- Develop and implement engaging sports programs and extracurricular activities that promote physical and personal development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of character development and global citizenship.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual and group development.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in pastoral care, events, and professional development initiatives.
- Stay up to date with best practices in PE and sports education, integrating innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of sports facilities and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A recognised educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
- A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate.
- Extensive experience teaching the National Curriculum of England, including IGCSE, AS/A Level, and the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning in a PE context.
- Strong commitment to extracurricular involvement and student wellbeing.
Preferred
- Experience teaching in an international school setting.
- Familiarity with British curriculum pathways and qualifications.
- Experience with evidence-based teaching methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
