The Opportunity:
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality science education to students at Key Stage 3 and teaching Physics up to I/GCSE. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to Key Stage 3 and Physics up to I/GCSE.
- Foster a caring and supportive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic progress.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and community engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and curricula.
- Support and mentor students, ensuring they achieve their full potential academically and personally.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Stay up to date with current developments in science education and pedagogy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A B.ED or degree and PGCE or equivalent with strong subject knowledge in Science.
- Proven experience in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to student well-being and academic achievement.
- Experience in contributing to the wider life of a school.
Preferred
- Experience teaching General Science and Physics up to I/GCSE.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum.
- Experience with international students and multicultural environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
