The Opportunity:

As a Secondary Spanish Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Spanish instruction, supporting student progress, and contributing to the school's educational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote student progress and achievement in Spanish.
  • Set clear learning objectives and use a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Identify and support students with special educational needs and those for whom English is an additional language.
  • Maintain high standards of work, homework, and classroom organization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of subject policies and curriculum planning.
  • Support the school’s improvement plan and participate in staff development and professional growth opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, upholding school rules and promoting student well-being.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and provide accurate, honest information about student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Education
  • UK teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ full-time teaching experience in Key Stage 4
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent outcomes at IGCSE level

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A Level or IBDP courses in an international school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and associated assessment methods
  • Experience with teaching English as an additional language
  • Leadership and management experience in curriculum or team leadership roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of IT competency
