The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate Psychology Teacher to inspire and educate students across the British Curriculum and IB Diploma Programme. This role offers the opportunity to shape young minds, foster critical thinking, and contribute to a school that values innovation and ethical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Psychology lessons aligned with British Curriculum and IB Diploma Programme standards.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including SEND and EAL students.
  • Promote inquiry-based learning, research skills, and ethical understanding of psychological studies.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations, coursework, and IB assessments.
  • Implement schemes of work that meet curriculum requirements and assessment criteria.
  • Design formative and summative assessments aligned with examination board standards.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and child protection practices in accordance with ADEK policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching Psychology at secondary level
  • Strong understanding of British Curriculum and/or IB DP Psychology
  • Knowledge of ADEK standards, inspection frameworks, and safeguarding requirements

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Strong command of the English language, in spoken and written form
  • Experience in student mentorship or tutoring
  • Background in curriculum development or assessment design
