The Opportunity:

A school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Security Operative to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment within the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage external gate access to ensure only authorised individuals enter the premises.
  • Conduct regular patrols around the school site to identify and report any potential security risks.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all出入 (entries and exits) and security-related incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Collaborate with other security personnel and school staff to uphold the institution’s safety standards.
  • Ensure that all security equipment is maintained and operational at all times.
  • Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to security and safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a security-related role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of responsibility.
  • Commitment to upholding the values and mission of the institution.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based educational environment.
  • Knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid.
  • Experience with security systems and technology.
  • A background in customer service or public engagement.
