Summary:
SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant role with a focus on supporting SEND students.

The Opportunity:
As an SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will lead the SEN provision and deliver high-quality support to SEND students, helping them make good progress in their learning. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students and to grow professionally within a supportive and development-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective support for SEN students in-class and within the provision.
- Deliver high-quality support to help students make good progress in their learning.
- Support and lead SEN Teaching Assistants in addressing the specific needs of each child.
- Prepare lessons and resources tailored to the needs of each child.
- Lead review meetings to plan and develop more effective strategies for supporting students.
- Support the SENCo with requesting EHCPs and other necessary supports.
- Plan and deliver bespoke interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Manage and support students in managing their behaviours effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or certification.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality support to students.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering interventions or planning bespoke support strategies.
- Knowledge of educational frameworks and support systems for SEND students.
- Experience in working towards becoming a Teaching Assistant or qualified teacher.
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teaching assistants.
Compensation & Benefits:
- 35 hours per week on a 44-week (term-time only) contract.
