Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with additional needs in a classroom environment, using individualized strategies to enhance learning
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective teaching plans
  • Assist in the delivery of lessons, activities, and interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to the teaching team
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure consistency and support for students
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages respect and understanding
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a teaching assistant supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children who have diverse learning requirements
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with special education needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
