The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Deputy Headteacher (Fixed Term) to join its leadership team and support the delivery of high-quality education for all pupils. This is a key leadership role that involves strategic planning, day-to-day management, and contributing to the ongoing development of the school. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school improvement initiatives
  • Oversee and support teaching and learning across all year groups
  • Work closely with senior staff to maintain high standards of teaching and pupil outcomes
  • Promote and model inclusive practices and a culture of equality and respect
  • Take an active role in the life of the school, including staff development and community engagement
  • Ensure the effective management of resources and school operations
  • Support the school in achieving its vision and core values

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as Assistant Headteacher
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and inclusive teaching practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team of staff
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Experience in managing school operations and strategic initiatives

Preferred

  • Experience in a fixed-term leadership role
  • Familiarity with the London-Exeter Partnership or similar teacher training programs
  • Experience in working with a diverse student population, including those with additional learning needs
  • A track record of contributing to school improvement and professional development initiatives
