Key Responsibilities:
- Support learners in academic, emotional, and social development
- Assist with coursework, revision, and study skills
- Help learners prepare for lessons and complete assignments
- Encourage independence and self-regulation
- Promote confidence in essay writing and exam preparation
- Provide individualised support tailored to learner needs
- Collaborate with staff to implement positive behaviour strategies
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and training
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people
Preferred
- Experience working with autistic young people or individuals with additional needs
- Previous experience in a teaching or learning support role
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and alternative qualifications such as BTEC and GCSE
- Experience in delivering social skills or wellbeing programmes
