The Opportunity:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will inspire and support students across Key Stages 3 to 5 in subjects such as History, Geography, Politics, and Religious Education. This role is ideal for a passionate and compassionate professional who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Humanities subjects across Key Stages 3–5, ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery aligned with national standards.
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to support learning and address underperformance.
  • Support the pastoral, social, and emotional needs of students, prioritising wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Adapt teaching to meet diverse cognitive and SEN needs within a trauma-informed, holistic framework.
  • Contribute to Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans to ensure personalised support for each student.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers through consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in extracurricular and enrichment activities to enhance the student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge across Humanities subjects
  • Proven experience teaching from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 with evidence of strong pupil progress
  • Effective classroom management and the ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with SEND needs, including ADHD, ASD, and trauma-related barriers
  • Experience with trauma-informed teaching practices
  • Experience in developing and delivering individualised learning plans
