EYFS KS1 Tutor needed in Arsenal with SEN experience.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced EYFS KS1 Tutor to provide one-on-one support to students in the Arsenal area. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners, particularly those with special educational needs, through a flexible and rewarding tutoring arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualised tuition to EYFS and KS1 students
  • Support students with special educational needs using the Bright Heart Approach
  • Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and other stakeholders
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance teaching practices
  • Maintain accurate records and report progress regularly
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning needs of each student
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in EYFS and KS1 curriculum areas
  • University qualification or currently studying towards one
  • A current Enhanced DBS certificate (with children’s barred list check)
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methodologies
  • Previous experience with students lacking confidence or motivation
  • Flexibility to work both in-person and online
  • Familiarity with study techniques and transition support for students
