The Opportunity:
As a SEND Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with the SENCo to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed in their learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SENCo in raising the learning and attainment of students and promoting inclusion.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and experiencing a sense of achievement and independence.
- Identify and address the needs of students who require additional support, under the direction of the SENCo.
- Manage all administrative tasks for the SEND Department, including record-keeping and documentation.
- Create and maintain Student Information sheets in collaboration with students, parents, and professionals.
- Upload and maintain SEND documentation on school systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Support the coordination of Access Arrangements applications in line with JCQ regulations.
- Monitor attendance and engagement for students receiving additional support, recording and escalating concerns as needed.
- Organise assessments and testing for students, liaising with external professionals where required.
- Support transition processes for students moving between Key Stages and managing the transfer of SEND information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in a SEND-related role or administrative support within an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
- Proficiency in using school information systems and administrative software.
Preferred
- Experience with student assessments and testing procedures.
- Knowledge of JCQ regulations and Access Arrangements.
- Experience in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Familiarity with SEND documentation processes and systems.
