The Opportunity:
As a SEND Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the SEND management team two days per week. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the SEND department and requires a proactive, organised individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the SEND management team with administrative tasks and coordination
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student needs and interventions
- Assist in the planning and organisation of SEND-related meetings and events
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding SEND matters
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other school departments to support the needs of students with special educational needs
- Monitor and update SEND information systems as required
- Provide general administrative support to the SEND department
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within an educational setting
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Preferred
- Experience working within a SEND department
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disability policies and procedures
- Experience with data management systems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands
