SEND Coordinator role at a remote school. Support students with special educational needs.

The Opportunity:

As a SEND Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through 1:1 interventions, programme management, and collaboration with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the referrals process for SEND programmes
  • Plan and deliver 1:1 support programmes for executive function, social skills, and emotional literacy
  • Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and contribute to annual reviews
  • Liaise with the Pastoral SENDCO, mentors, and other colleagues to ensure smooth programme delivery
  • Deliver staff CPD and parent sessions as needed
  • Mentor a small number of SEND students
  • Support student engagement through after-school clubs and trips

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • 3+ years of teaching experience
  • Experience delivering 1:1 interventions
  • Experience working with SEND students
  • Experience working at a whole-school level
  • Experience of leading training and/or parent sessions

Preferred

  • NASENCO/NPQ SENDCO qualification
  • Experience with online teaching
  • Experience in executive function, social skills, and emotional literacy interventions
  • Experience in SALT, OT, Sensory, and Nurture interventions
  • Experience running after-school clubs or supporting school trips
