The Opportunity:

As a SEND Inclusion Manager, you will lead and support a team dedicated to ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive the highest quality of care and education. This role is pivotal in driving inclusivity and shaping a supportive, holistic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a large and dedicated team of support staff within the SEND & Inclusion department.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Oasis, the school's Inclusion hub.
  • Coordinate with the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCos to ensure effective support and provision for students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers, colleagues, and external partners to deliver a truly inclusive education.
  • Implement and monitor strategies that promote the well-being and academic success of students with SEND.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation related to SEND and inclusion.
  • Support the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and other support frameworks.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and collaboration across the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing a SEND & Inclusion department within an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEND policies, legislation, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering inclusive educational strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with external agencies and partners.
  • Familiarity with the Co-operative values and ethos.
  • Experience with coordinating support for students with a wide range of needs.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive education frameworks and practices.
