Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, advice, and training to families, colleagues, and the school community to support the development of children with a range of needs.
  • Assist students by identifying and addressing social, emotional, and environmental issues that may interfere with the educational process.
  • Liaise closely with teachers, parents, and school leaders to ensure the child is at the center of all discussions and decision making.
  • Support groups and individuals with a range of issues through informal and formal interventions, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the pastoral life of the school by working with other members of the pastoral team.
  • Plan, organize, and promote community and parental engagement events and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and analysis for reporting to school leadership.
  • Support the aims of the project and comply with the requirements of health and safety, legislation, and school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognized relevant qualification or degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant counselling.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a teaching and learning environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong inter-cultural awareness and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with student support and community engagement.
