Summary:

Senior ESOL Curriculum Manager needed to lead and develop ESOL provision at a forward-thinking institution.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior ESOL Curriculum Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality ESOL provision for students aged 16-18 and adult learners. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team, drive curriculum development, and ensure excellence in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a large team of ESOL teachers, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Conduct teaching observations and provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes.
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate the ESOL curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of students and aligns with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to support day-to-day operations and curriculum development.
  • Work closely with the Group Curriculum Director to implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and practices that support the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 5 teacher training qualification.
  • ESOL specialism and teaching experience.
  • Experience in managing a team of teachers.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of ESOL provision for adult learners.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives in education.
