The Opportunity:
As a Work Experience Coordinator - Construction, you will play a key role in connecting students with valuable workplace experiences. You will build relationships with employers, coordinate placements, and support students throughout their work experience journey, ensuring they gain the skills needed for success in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with employers to secure work experience placements for students.
- Coordinate and manage the work experience program, ensuring placements meet required standards.
- Support students throughout their work experience, providing guidance and resolving any issues.
- Collaborate with academic staff to integrate work experience into the curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the program, making improvements as needed.
- Develop new employer relationships through cold calling and networking.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards in placements.
- Provide regular reports on program performance and student feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in employer engagement or student support roles.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience in the construction industry or education sector.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of work experience programs and their impact on student development.
Preferred
- Experience in coordinating work placements or managing student programs.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and practices.
- Experience with curriculum development or collaboration between industry and education.
- Strong computer skills, including use of CRM or database systems.
- Experience in working with diverse groups of students and employers.
