The Opportunity:

A Senior Finance Administrator is needed to support the Finance Department during a period of operational transition. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic team while utilizing strong finance and administrative skills in a supportive and impactful setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover for the finance team and take on tasks typically completed by Finance Assistants.
  • Assist with transaction review and query resolution as part of the Finance Manager’s routine workload.
  • Respond to internal and external queries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive and cohesive working environment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to the smooth operation of the finance department.
  • Maintain accurate financial systems using Sage 50 Accounts and MS Excel.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and financial documentation as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior finance role or with financial management responsibilities.
  • Understanding of educational sector finance operations.
  • Experience with financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with internal audit procedures.
